What size measurements do you use?

All measurements provided under each garment's size guide are measured as follows (on a flat laid garment):



do you offer lay-bys?

Unfortunately we do not currently offer a lay-by option via LIFEwithBIRD online, however it is available at LIFEwithBIRD Boutiques. The terms are a minimum 20% deposit on full-price items and full payment within 30 days.


Do you have a loyalty program?

Yes - after spending over $1000 AUD in one transaction, or $1500 AUD over one season on LIFEwithBIRD or L.W.B. full-price product. Customers are eligible to receive an on-going 10% VIP discount on all full-priced LIFEwithBIRD online purchases.

This discount is applied via an individual promo code issued via email after 7 days from delivery receipt, and cannot be used in conjunction with any other online promotions.

Where can I find more information regarding care instructions?

To ensure the longest life of your garment please read the following care instructions and follow all steps recommended. If you decide to remove the care label for wearing ease, please ensure to retain the label for reference when laundering.


Hand Wash

For best results use a liquid product designed for hand washable or delicate garments. Eucalyptus products are great for woollens; however, we do not recommend using them on other fabrics or yarns. Make sure the product is completely dissolved in cool water. Immerse the garment and gently wash. Never rub or soak garments. Treat stains as soon as possible prior to laundering using a stain remover which has been tested on the garment in an inconspicuous area. Do Not Spot Clean means this kind of treatment is not recommended and may damage your garment. Rinse the garment thoroughly in cool water.


Machine Wash

When machine washing your garments use only the gentle cycle. Follow the directions on your laundry product. If advised, cool rinse well and use a gentle spin cycle. If the label states "Drip Dry" then remove the garment before the spin cycle.


Dry Clean

For those extra special pieces, when dry cleaning is recommended, or just to get the most out of your garments, we recommend locating a reputable dry cleaner. Always dry clean both pieces of a suit together as treating one piece differently may lead to slight colour variations. Mention the location and nature of any stains or marks so they will be able to treat them correctly. If you have removed the care label from the garment for wearing ease please take it with you so that the drycleaner is aware of all the manufacturers’  instructions and warnings. Please note some LIFEwithBIRD fabrics state "Do Not Dry Clean".



Some fabrics require a cool iron so in these cases it may be easier to handle if drip dried. Knitwear and delicate mesh garments require special care. The easiest way to shorten drying time is to roll the garment in a towel and gently squeeze the excess water out. Reshaping whilst wet means the garment needs to be pushed back into shape as it dries. This is easily done using a flat surface. Most fabrics should not be dried in direct sunlight as it will fade and age your garment prematurely. 


General Advice

For the best results treat stains immediately as the longer the stain sits in the fabric the more difficult it will be to remove. Never store garments with stains. Read the care label as some fabric dyes may be damaged by spot cleaning. Do not rub stained areas as you may cause fabric damage and pilling, instead blot gently from the outside of the stain toward the centre. Use a spot cleaner recommended for the type of stain. Test spot cleaners on an inconspicuous area of the garment first. Water may set stains in some fabrics so if you are unsure as to the treatment do not use water, instead seek professional help from your local drycleaner.

Shipping & Returns

How do I Return or Exchange an item?

We offer an exchange or refund on full-price purchased via LIFEwithBIRD Online on items if they:

  • Are in original purchase condition.
  • Have not been worn, washed, used or damaged.
  • Are accompanied by the original receipt.
  • Have all original tags and stickers.

All exchanges & returns must be posted back to LIFEwithBIRD 'Online Returns' within 7 days of original receipt date.

Exchanges are made at the original purchase price. After 7 days all Sales are Final. For more information please refer to our Shipping & Returns policy.

Do you give refunds?

We accept returns for exchange or refund on unworn full-priced merchandise purchased at LIFEwithBIRD online only within 7 days of receipt. Please note all items purchased at a reduced price via markdown or promotional code are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned unless deemed faulty. If your goods are deemed to be faulty due to manufacturer error, after assessment, we will either replace, repair, exchange, credit or refund your purchase.

What if my item is faulty?

We make sure that all goods are throughly inspected prior to dispatch, and that your order is securely packaged so you receive it in impeccable condition.

If, on the rare chance that you receive your order and you believe it is faulty, please follow the steps outlined on our Shipping and Returns policy.

Your item will then be assessed and you will be advised if it can be repaired, replaced, credited or refunded, and your return postage costs reimbursed if applicable.

Do you deliver to PO Boxes?

When sending with regular Australia Post, we can post to Australian PO Boxes, but not international.

Also, if you request express delivery, please note our express courier company will not deliver to PO Boxes.

How much is shipping & how long does it take?

We offer the following shipping options for purchases from our e-boutique:

Domestic - Orders Over $250 FREE 2-13 business days
Domestic - Orders Under $250 $10 AUD 2-13 business days
Domestic - Express (TOLL Priority) $15 AUD 1-2 business days*
Domestic - Express (Australia Post) $15 AUD 1-3 business days*
International - (DHL Express) Orders Over $250 AUD FREE 2-5 business days
International - (DHL Express) Orders Under $250 AUD $35 AUD 2-5 business days
Domestic - Express (TOLL Priority) $15 AUD 1-2 business days*


*For orders placed after 1pm AET and rural locations, allow an extra day for delivery. Express TOLL Priority Overnight delivery can only be made non-PO Box addresses attended during business hours. Express Post will only guarantee next-day delivery to selected postcodes, and outside of that they will not specify a time-frame.

Please note items and orders purchased via markdown, promotional code and during a promotional period incur a $10 AUD flat rate for Domestic Orders and a $35 AUD flat rate for International orders.

Can I change or amend my order once it has been placed?

Before your purchases have been prepared for dispatch we can cancel an item, change the size or edit your billing and shipping details.

However, we are unable to combine orders or add pieces to an existing order once it has been placed.

If you need to make any amendments, please contact customer care for assistance.

Do you ship Internationally?

Yes. International orders attract a flat rate shipping fee of $35 AUD, with free shipping for orders over $250 AUD. Please note items purchased via markdown, promotional code or during a promotional period also incur at $35 AUD flat rate. International orders are typically sent via DHL Express, and a delivery window of approximately 3-5 working days depending on the location.

The tracking number provided on dispatch for International deliveries can be tracked via DHL Express for real-time, detailed progress of your shipment through the DHL network.

Can I change my delivery address once my order has been shipped?

Once your order has been confirmed and dispatched, we are unable to redirect your delivery to another address. To avoid any delays receiving your order, we suggest that you provide a suitable shipping address for the specified delivery times.
